At the beginning of the year, I joined in the blogging meme, 3 words.  It’s time to check in on how I’m doing on that.  To recap, three words I wanted to summarize me in 2011 are:

  • Create
  • Consistent
  • Results

What I have done plenty of is “CREATE”.  I’ve got a big project close to rolling out that involved screencasting how-to videos of all sorts of things.

What I need to improve first is results.  As I’ve been heavily engrossed in product creation mode, and am not quite at launch mode yet, I need to get results for what I’ve created.  I also need to switch gears back to consulting and clients.

Consistency – well – that is the next target.  I want to improve my consistency in blogging, commenting, updating Youtube, checking email, and returning calls.

Checking in on these areas of life can be eye-opening.  While I could feel like junk for what needs improved, I can also say I am good at a few other areas (Google Reader, Twitter, Facebook).

So – to make these adjustments, I want to tweak my social media routine a bit. I want to stick to reviewing the checklist daily, and making it manageable.  I want also to filter a few things vying for my attention, and change my daily routine a bit to help.

It’s good to review what progress is made, what needs to be changed, and adjust as needed.  How are your goals for 2011 going?  We’re halfway done with the year nearly.
