As a cord-cutter, I have just 3 tv channels, NBC 25, Maryland Public Television, and the obscure local station, 68. The rest of my viewing is via Hulu, Netflix, or Amazon Video. I want to move my viewing experience onto the tv rather than my laptop. As the 2nd Xbox 360 has died after Microsoft repairs, I’m giving up on the Xbox until a new hardware upgrade is launched. Roku 2 XS will make it possible for me to view what I want, when I want it, including NHL Ticket by connecting to the internet and displaying on my television. While I could opt for an even cheaper model, I want the still very affordable $99 option to plugin an internet wire rather than wifi.

Because I haven’t updated to the newest iPhone 4s yet, this is a must! While most users will not need the space that I prefer, I’m hoping to use the super new camera for plenty of pictures and videos.

The camera quality on the iPhone 4S is fantastic, but I still want an improved way to improve the microphone recording quality. Blue, the makers of the Snowball usb microphone, have designed Mikey to do just that. This is perfect for podcasting on the go.

The Glif is a great little clip for the iPhone to connect it to a tripod. When attending conferences and events, I use my Flip camera still, but with improved video quality on an iPhone, I’d like to make the switch. While doing that great video recording or photography, the iPhone can work with camera lenses. I prefer the Olloclip for it’s ability to clip on to the phone. I wouldn’t want to lose this little lens.

When managing contracts and proposals with clients, this pen can provide a super easy way for them to sign documents electronically. I could even dabble in drawing by hand this way. While it isn’t a replacement for a full Wacom tablet, it should be useful in basic functionality.

Livescribe pens are awesome. They are a nice pen, an audio recorder, and they capture what you write for a video replay later as pencasts. Mostly I want this to use the recorder and create quick presentations.

I need an Android based device for testing a variety of things. I also would use it for reading books and watching videos in the Amazon store. Though, a plain [amazon_link id=”B005890G8Y” target=”_blank” ]Kindle Touch[/amazon_link] would work just fine and be better to tote to the beach.
